CRITERIA FOR DISPLAY
ADVERTISEMENTS
- All display ads must be submitted
camera-ready.
- Ads which do not conform to specifications
(height x width) will be modified.
- Display advertisements appear
throughout the publication.
- Advertisers may receive a 15%
discount on display advertising when an order is
placed for six succeeding issues and total payment
is received in advance.
- California law mandates that advertisements
for courses offering Mandatory Continuing Education
for Psychologists clearly indicate the provider's
name, the course title, course approval number,
number of credit hours, and the name of the accrediting
agency. Advertisements for courses for which MCEP
is being sought, but not yet approved, must include
the phrase, "This course is currently under review
by the MCEPAA for MCEP credit."
- Psychologists and those who imply
that they are a psychologist must include their
license number when advertising in the Los Angeles
Psychologist. Psychologists who, by state law, are
not required to be licensed (e.g., academic, out
of state and not practicing in California) must
include an appropriate credential.
Ad deadline is
the first of the month prior to the month of publication.
Classified advertising must be in writing. No advertising
copy will be accepted by telephone.

CRITERIA FOR CLASSIFIED
ADVERTISEMENTS
- LACPA Members only may place a
business card (3 ½ W X 2 H) advertisement for $50
per issue or $250 for six issues if payment is made
in advance.
- Group Therapy Ads: Group Therapy
ads are available to LACPA members only. All advertising
for mental health services must include the practitioner's
license number. One 30 word Group Therapy ad may
be placed per issue at no charge; $10 will be charged
for any part of any additional 10 word increment.
Additional Group Therapy ads may be placed at the
rate of $10 for 30 words with an additional $10
for any part of any additional 10 word increment.
- Classified advertisements are
listed in the back of the publication under one
of the following categories. Office Space, Miscellaneous,
Continuing Education, Professional Opportunities,
Women's Groups, Men's Groups, Mixed Groups.
- Ads for Office Space must begin
with the name of the city in which the space being
offered.
- All classified ad copy will be
accepted only in typewritten form. No advertisements
will be taken over the phone.
- The minimum charge with Visa or
Mastercard payment is $35. Payment by check is preferred.
Payment must accompany all classified advertisements.
Ad deadline is
