REMEMBER - NEW ADDRESS FOR LACPA: 6345 Balboa Blvd, Bldg 2, Suite 126, Encino 91316. The buildings are on the south-west corner of Victory and Balboa, and Bldg 2 is the second building from Balboa. If you come from the Westside, take the 405 to the 101 and exit going north on Balboa to just before Victory (park on the street or in the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex (6201 Balboa Blvd.) on the west side of Balboa, just south of Victory). Or take the 405 to Victory (past the 101 if you are coming from the Westside) and exit West onto Victory. Take it to Balboa and turn left, now heading south. On your right, you will see the buildings. Go a bit past the parking lot for the building (we are not allowed to park there during the day), pass the Army’s center to the next driveway, which is for the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex (2nd driveway past the Busway), and park in there. Or park on the street just south of the sports complex. Both sides of Balboa have all day free parking. Allow a 2-3 minute walk to the office door. Walk into the building’s parking area and go to the second building. The LACPA office is right by the entrance off the parking lot, on the left if you walk in from the parking area. Wherever you park, please check the signs.
Parking at The Encino Office Park lot between the hours of 9am - 6:30 pm is restricted to building tenants only. We can park there in the evening and on weekends, but not 9 - 6:30 weekdays.
Here’s some other information you may wish to know:
Meeting Dates and Location of the Couples SIG Meetings: All meetings are on Fridays, from 12:00 - 1:30 pm. All are the first Friday of each month, except for September and January due to Labor Day Weekend and the first Friday of January still being close to New Year’s and many still being on vacation. There is no meeting in July or August.
How do you join the Couples SIG? As long as you are a LACPA member, you can attend the Couple SIG - just email me an RSVP before the meeting letting me know that you want to attend (preferably with 3 or 4 days notice or more, but even last minute works) and show up. That’s all there is to it.
Non-LACPA members can attend in the months of March and April. All other meetings are only for LACPA members. This is one of the benefits of being a LACPA member. We have visitors in March and April mainly to introduce LACPA to non-members, and of course, we hope they would like what they experience and join LACPA. We don’t pressure them to join, but hope they will.
Please know that the LACPA SIGs do not purport to provide formal supervision or consultation. Opinions offered by presenters and other attendees are merely their own opinions, and opinions and suggestions offered do not represent formal endorsement by LACPA.
I look forward to seeing you at our Couples Therapy SIG discussion groups!!
