Video Gaming and the Clinician
Video games and technology are common in our society. As clinicians we need not only keep up with technology but with its impact on the lives of our clients. The purpose of this presentation is to give an overview of video games, demographics of gamers, and clinical application of this knowledge.
Stephanie Haibloom, Psy.D., is currently a psychological assistant under the supervision of Charlyne Gelt, Ph.D. in her private practice in Encino. Stephanie currently works with clients ranging in age from adolescent to adult. From her past internships working with at risk youth and her work in the addiction field, Stephanie has started to specialize in adolescents with video game addiction.
