Working with "Failure to Launch" Young Adults

Recent research suggests there is a new developmental period called “emerging adulthood”, which is distinctly different from adolescence and adulthood. Learn about the unique characteristics of emerging adulthood and how they may affect successfully “launching” towards independence. Finally, learn what interventions may assist these emerging adults transition into adulthood.
Crystal Lee, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist that specializes in “failure to launch” and related issues in adolescents and emerging adults. She’s currently transitioning into starting her own private practice on the Westside of Los Angeles specializing in these issues, called Thrive Westside.
This Brown Bag Lunch is available to all 2016/2017 LACPA Members.

The NEW LACPA office address is THE ENCINO OFFICE PARK, 6345 Balboa Blvd, Building 2, Suite 126, Encino, CA 91316 - second building from Balboa Blvd., conveniently located near ample free daytime/weekday street parking on Balboa Blvd, south of Victory Blvd. Both sides of Balboa have all day free parking. There is also plenty of free parking at the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex on the west side of Balboa, south of Victory, 6201 Balboa Blvd. (2nd driveway past the Busway). 2-3 minute walk to the office door. Wherever you park, please check the signs.
Parking at The Encino Office Park lot between the hours of 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. is restricted to building tenants only. Do not park in the lot at the building.
Certification of Attendance for Continuing Education Credit
Please note that the Brown Bag Lunches are being offered as a LACPA Membership Benefit.
Attendance is limited to 50 LACPA members. Should you have a friend or colleague who would like to attend, please have them join LACPA before they send in this registration form. Programs subject to change.
The Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. LACPA maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
This course may be taken to satisfy California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) continuing education requirements.
It is important to note that APA continuing education rules require that LACPA only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop. An evaluation of the workshop must be completed. Those who arrive more than 5 minutes (for a 1.5 hour program) after the scheduled start time or leave before the workshop is complete will not receive CE credit. Partial credit may not be given.
