Monday, March 20th at the LACPA office in Encino from 9-10:30 am.

Learn about Energy Psychology (EP), a branch of mind-body healing approaches combining Western and Eastern principles of wellness, applied to the mind, body, and spirit. The ninety minute talk will cover:
1. A brief history of EP, which originated in the Los Angeles (!) area in the 1970's, and review of various schools throughout the world that have since emerged.
2. Mechanisms that make up EP, including cognitive and meridian systems.
3. Latest peer reviewed research studies on EP.
4. Demonstration and practice of EP for self-care.
5. Resources for learning more about EP.
Lori Chortkoff Hops, Ph.D. (PSY 14335) is a licensed Psychologist, (University of Houston, Texas; Internship at Kaiser Permanente, Department of Psychiatry Los Angeles) Reiki Master, and practices Comprehensive Energy Psychology in a private practice in Westlake Village, Ca. Dr. Hops serves on the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP: www.energypsych.org) Executive Board of Directors as Secretary (2016-2017). She has been working with individuals, adults, families and children for more than twenty years. Dr. Hops combines practices from western empirical science, wisdom traditions from around the world, and her personal heart based intuitive guidance when working with others. She also teaches courses for professionals, students, and the general public on energy practices, spirituality, coping with illness, self-care, laughter yoga, intuition, and movement arts. She has been dancing since age three, and practices yoga. Her intuitively derived paintings have been included in LACPA's Mirrors of the MInd events in 2015 and 2016. Dr. Hops serves on the Board of Directors for Gift of Life Los Angeles, a nonprofit organization that funds heart surgeries and nutritional assistance for children in El Salvador. www.drlorihops.com.

The NEW LACPA office address is THE ENCINO OFFICE PARK, 6345 Balboa Blvd, Building 2, Suite 126, Encino, CA 91316 - second building from Balboa Blvd., conveniently located near ample free daytime/weekday street parking on Balboa Blvd, south of Victory Blvd. Both sides of Balboa have all day free parking. There is also plenty of free parking at the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex on the west side of Balboa, south of Victory, 6201 Balboa Blvd. (2nd driveway past the Busway). 2-3 minute walk to the office door. Wherever you park, please check the signs.
Parking at The Encino Office Park lot between the hours of 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. is restricted to building tenants only. Do not park in the lot at the building.
