LACPA ONLINE DIRECTORY

A professional listing on the LACPA Online Directory is an outstanding LACPA membership benefit. Over 265 members signed up during the 2007/08 membership year.

If you wish to be listed on the LACPA Online Directory, complete the Information Sheet (found in the Online Directory section) and return it with your LACPA Membership Application. The cost is $50 for September 1, 2008, through August 31, 2009. For those renewing their online directory listing before September 30, the cost is $45.00.

While the opportunity to be listed in the LACPA Online Directory is available to all LACPA members, practice information will be included only for those members who submit a copy of their California psychology license and who complete the practice information section of the Online Directory Information sheet.

At no extra cost, LACPA will provide a link for those who list their email and/or personal Web site addresses.

The geographic component facilitates searches being made by an individual's last name or by area of Los Angeles County, e.g., Los Angeles 90025, Northridge, Long Beach, Whittier. Please note that all zip codes starting with 900 will be listed as Los Angeles.

It is also possible to search for specific treatment types, ages of patients seen, problems treated and topics addressed, and methods for treatment by using the computer's find function.

Changes to the Online Directory will be made periodically. Any changes must be submitted to the LACPA office in writing. Listed members may make one change at no cost each membership year. Additional changes will cost $10 per change.

LACPA LISTSERVE

Subscribing to LACPA's Listserve provides members with the opportunity to:

• Receive timely information about upcoming LACPA activities and events
• Learn how to join and participate on one of LACPA's committees
• Participate in discussions with other LACPA members on topics of mutual interest
• Request input from colleagues on thorny professional issues, trade experiences, and locate resources
• Become a member of a vital, dynamic, and empowering online community of psychologists and psychology graduate students
