Chronic pain is a widely misunderstood phenomenon; a mystery when looked at solely from a medical perspective. Research is now providing a number of advances in how chronic pain is understood. These advances create opportunities for psychologists to be key players in the treatment of persons suffering from chronic pain.
Jennifer L. Huggins, Psy.D., is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a specialization in chronic pain. She completed her Health Psychology fellowship in the Bay Area and has been working in multidisciplinary pain programs for the last six years. She currently works at Kaiser Permanente in the pain management department and has a private practice where she works with a variety of presenting problems.
