Premarital Counseling Best Practices

In this presentation, Dr. Schewitz will discuss the benefits of premarital counseling, how to address fears potential clients may have about the process, helpful topics to discuss in session, and the use of assessment tools to enhance the premarital counseling experience.

Dr. Schewitz is a licensed psychologist specializing in love and relationships and founder of Couples Learn (www.coupleslearn.com). She has been working with couples and individuals since 2008 and her private practice is relatively unique in that it is 100% online. Dr. Schewitz is regularly featured in articles for outlets such as Readers Digest, CareerBuilder, Refinery 29, Bustle, Connect With Life, Ask Men, Self, and more.

Location: We meet at the LACPA office in the Encino Office Park from 12-1:30 PM. The address is 6345 Balboa Blvd, Building 2, Suite 126, Encino 91316
You are welcome to bring your own lunch and eat during our meeting.
Parking: We are not allowed to park in the building parking lot (it is restricted to tenants only) so there are a couple of options for parking. You can park at the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex (6201 Balboa Blvd.) on the west side of Balboa Blvd, just south of Victory Blvd or you can park on the street just south of the entrance for the sports complex parking lot. Both sides of Balboa have all day free parking. Allow a 3 - 5 minute walk to the buildings. Once you arrive at the Encino Office Park, walk into the building’s parking area and go to the second building. The LACPA office is right by the entrance off the parking lot, on the left if you walk in from the parking area.
Please RSVP to Margaret Altschul at  mbaltschul@aol.com  if you plan to attend.
