Topic: Practicing Mindfulness from the DBT Perspective

Date: Tuesday, March 26th, 2019

Time: 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Description: This talk will explore Mindfulness as one of the four core modules of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. DBT will be briefly introduced to share its origins and ways it can be applied to different presenting issues in private practice. Attendees will be guided through DBT Mindfulness exercises so as to learn practical tools to help clients reach their goals. Some of these tools will be the Wise Mind, the “What” and “How” Skills of core Mindfulness, Walking the Middle Path, and Radical Acceptance. Mindfulness promotes self-empowerment by shifting the way we are in charge of ourselves.
