Title: The Impact of Porn on Couple Relationships

Description: What effect does porn have on romantic relationships? It's often portrayed as an elephant in the room, or a dark secret undermining a couple's sex life, but is that the whole story? Join us for an up-to-date review of research on this topic, some case studies to consider, and what will undoubtedly be a lively discussion.

Bio: Erica Marchand, Ph.D., is a psychologist in private practice in Los Angeles specializing in sexual and relationship concerns. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, the Los Angeles Urological Society, and the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, and is a Gottman-trained couples therapist. Most recently, she has developed a guided online class for women with difficulty having orgasms, called the Big O Masterclass, available now to the public, and is working on an invited paper on psychological treatment of female orgasmic disorder for the journal Sexual Medicine Reviews, to be completed later this year.

Location: We meet at the LACPA office in the Encino Office Park from 12-1:30. The address is 6345 Balboa Blvd, Building 2, Suite 126, Encino 91316
You are welcome to bring lunch and eat during our meeting.

Parking: We are not allowed to park in the building parking lot (it is restricted to tenants only) so there are a couple of options for parking. You can park at the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex (6201 Balboa Blvd.) on the west side of Balboa Blvd, just south of Victory Blvd or you can park on the street just south of the entrance for the sports complex parking lot. Both sides of Balboa have all day free parking. Allow a 3 - 5 minute walk to the buildings. Once you arrive at the Encino Office Park, walk into the building’s parking area and go to the second building. The LACPA office is right by the entrance off the parking lot, on the left if you walk in from the parking area.

Parking at The Encino Office Park lot between the hours of 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. is restricted to building tenants only.  Please, do not park in the lot at the building.
