Dr. Schultz will present on psychotherapeutic considerations relevant to the treatment of the older individual.   With the burgeoning of the American population 65 years old or older, it is imperative that psychotherapists be acquainted with geropsychotherapy, so as to assist their patients in confronting their own aging and the stress of caregiving for others

This is a repeat of the May 20, 2016, BBL Program.

Donald Schultz, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Applied Clinical Psychology Department.  He teaches courses in gerontology, family systems, cognitive-behavioral psychology, and existential-humanistic psychology.  Dr. Schultz maintains a private practice with an existential/interpersonal focus, emphasizing successful aging and life meaning as ultimate goals.  He holds a Certificate in Gerontology, and is certified by the AATBS as an Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias Treatment Specialist (ADODTS).
